has now attended two shows in puppy class. During her first show she was 8 months,
blowing her coat and her colour was not as bright as one would expect. She got
a red ribbon - meaning "very good".
The critique was as follows: "Dull reddish
brown, middle sized. Still very light and thin. Today heavily shedding.
Graceful, narrow head. Good ears. Correct stance of limbs. A little high
tailset. Correct temperament."
On the 6th of August 2004 she attended her second show. This time she really came up to what we have expected! She was BOB-puppy and BIG3-puppy! Wow! The critique says: "Well developed, typey and beautiful puppy. Very well proportioned overall, beautiful coat, ideal tail, good temperament." I had to write to Joan right away after I heard the news. She answered to me: "How thrilling! It begins to look as if she is going to live up to our
expectations.
When I look at her newest photos on her page, I find myself thinking I would
breed her for some improvement in head, particularly in ear size and
erectness. I thought this when she lived here, but always liked her balance
and attitude."
Well, her breeding time is not yet, though she has had her first heat. We will let her develop thoroughly, before that. Hope you can wait. The working quality "testing" is a future goal. The hunting season is beginning and we will see how she manages to "play" with the birds.
